Ingredients:
- 9 medium tomatoes
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 Cup chopped zucchini
- 2 TSP Ciao Pittsburgh’s Aroma seasoning
- 2 TBSP basil chopped
- 1 TBSP apple cider vinegar
- 1 bag instant rice
- 1/2 mild cheddar
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
- Cut the core out of each tomato. You want to get as much of the inside out so you have room for the filling.
- Cook sausage, onion, zucchini, basil vinegar, minced garlic and Ciao Pittsburgh Aroma seasoning in a skillet.
- Once sausage mixture is halfway cooked, it’s time to cook the rice in a pot.
- Once rice is fully cooked at it to sausage mixture. You also want to add the Parmesan cheese and mix until cheese is incorporated.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and cook for 20 minutes or longer depending if you want a crusty top.
- Spoon in filling and place filled tomatoes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Before the tomatoes go in the oven sprinkle a littleCiao Pittsburgh Aroma seasoning on the top of each.
- Add the shredded cheddar and a tiny pinch of seasoned Italian brezd crumbs.
